Hello my name is Renita Shelton and I am currently enrolled in the Instructional Design and Development Masters Program within the College of Education and Human Development at George Mason University. This portfolio reflects my journey through the program to date.
Currently, I am employed as a Senior Systems Analyst as a contractor for a government agency. Presently, I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Workforce Education and Development with a specialization in Education and Training and a master’s degree in Organization Development and Knowledge Management. Sounds like a mouthful huh? Well, the B.S. undergraduate degree program also known as (WED) focused on learning and development of adults in the workforce at the individual level and the ODKM focused on individuals at the organizational level. In my opinion, the IDD program can only help me to evolve as a professional in this field.
I believe that the knowledge I gain from the IDD program will be crucial for me and will help give me a jump start in designing effective distance learning courses and beyond.
I think choosing this program is the best option for me. The IDD program will definitely equip me with the tools that I need to take me to the next level in my career, my business and in the organizations that I will work for in the future.
